Indonesian police find haul of
explosives
Police in Indonesia have
confiscated two tonnes of explosive raw material, three hand
grenades and one handgun in separate locations in East Kalimantan
province.
Police say they found 56 sacks of ammonia nitrate, a chemical used
in bomb making, in a warehouse near the town of Tarakan.
Ammonia nitrate is often illegally employed to blast rivers and
open waters in so-called fish bombing.
The discovery of the explosives comes just days after one woman
was killed and three others injured after a bomb exploded on a
road in Central Sulawesi.
