A British based human rights
organisation wants Prime Minister Tony Blair to raise the issue of
human rights in Papua, Aceh and Maluku provinces, when he meets
Indonesian President Megawati Sukarnoputri later this week.
President Megawati will be in Britain as part of a European tour.
The Indonesian Human Rights Campaign, also known as Tapol, says Mr
Blair should call for a full investigation into the assassination
of Papuan independence leader Theys Eluay.
It says inquiries to date have been unsatisfactory and Jakarta
should launch its own investigation.
