NOTES On Competitors for the Riga portion, hopefully it will help more – not my notes, but also posted on the message board. There seems to be a couple of different copies maybe, thus these notes to maybe help ID gymnasts not listed above.

Irina Baraksanova is wearing a blue leotard and has a ribbon in her hair. She does a full-in dismount on beam and her first pass on floor is a double layout, but she misses the last pass. She’s the shortest of them.

Eka Zeturidze does a front handspring mount on beam, on floor she tumbles piked full-in – whip double twist-punch front and double pike; she vaults piked baranis and on bars she has a Shaposhnikova, giant full to tkachev and a piked Comaneci dismount. She’s wearing a red leotard.

Vera Kolesnikova is the tallest of them.  She is wearing a leo that is white and purple. Floor has a piked double layout (and maybe goes out of bounds), and she vaults yurchecnko fulls.

Svetlana Murzunenko is wearing a red leotard and her music is Toccata and Fugue. She had a very bad meet, falling everywhere, including on a double layout mount on floor, and also her dismount, which I think was a double tuck. She does two different vault – front pike and piked barani.

Lidia Kharisova is wearing a blue leo, she does aerial cartwheel to either flic flac or to a layout step out on beam and falls on her FX mount (piked full-in). Very nice yurchenko 1 ½ second vault.

Yelena Orshevskaya’s music is “Around the World in 80 Days” (she does a full-in and a triple twist on floor, misses her first vault but hits the second).

Laschenova and Sazonenkova were also there representing Latvia. Lachenova is shown on beam and Sazonenkova on floor (misic has bird sound and she opens with a double tuck). Others that were also competing are – Camelia Voinea (blue leotard with some stripes), Chen Cuiting and Monica Covacci (I think she is only shown on beam).
