What a frustrating night when one plays so hard and still loses.  We played our hearts out tonight trying to defend our home field but fell short in double overtime against cross town rival St. Alberts.  We over looked them last year and fell short 0-1 as well at their house.  We preach all night at practice and all during the game, get the ball to the corner and cross it in.  I promise you will win.  The problem is you have to do it first and you have to make it work.  Tonight it worked for the other guy and we wind up with the stroke in the L column as St. Alberts scored at 4:25 into the second overtime on a cross from the corner to win the game.  We just are not putting it away, we are not taking the shot and looking for the opportunity.  We have only scored one goal in four games, it is very hard to win anything that way. 

Saturday we travel to Urbandale to play in the Urbandale Tournament.  If you are traveling to the game we will be playing at the Urbandale Soccer complex. Driving directions are as follows – Coming from the West use the Hwy 141/Grimes Exit and proceed back Southeast past Super Target to Meredith Dr. Proceed to 104th St. turning right. The facility is located at the Southeast Corner of 104th & Meridith.  We will play at 10:00 and 11:45 for sure.  Depending on how we do we could be playing again at 1:45.  Please show your support and join us as we go on the road.
