2005 Titans
5/03/05 - GlenwoodWe traveled to Omaha tonight to take on #1 in 2A Glenwood at the Creighton University Soccer Complex. It was a perfect night for soccer, the facilities were something else, and as it turns out maybe we were just overwhelmed by where we were at. 160 minutes of soccer, two games and nadda, nothing, scoreless soccer. As it turns out the one good thing that we must take time to recognize is the play of the defense in both games. Varsity loses 1-0 and JV ends up 0-0. Thanks to the defensive play of Dan Gulden, Korey Lane, Joel Edwards, and Seth Jackson we were in the game to the end. For JV I have to thank the defensive play of Kyle Herren, Alex Seliak, Brandon Duffy, and Christopher Navarrete. It is just so sad to watch us play the way we do, control the game the way we do and not award ourselves. It is not going to get any easier. Thursday Denison comes to town. They are 7-1 with their one loss being to Urbandale in overtime on Saturday in the Championship game in the Urbandale tournament. It is time to look inside. We must continue to believe in ourselves and in TITAN soccer. |
