Definition

 

D.A. (Disciplinary Action) –Is the term given for any actions adopted by an organization such as fraternities, sororities, clubs and etc. which serves as a sanction or punishment for any misconducts committed by a member of the organization.

 

Misconduct- Is any action done or committed by a certain individual who is a bonafide member of the organization that violates the rules, and code of ethics employed by the constitution of the organization.

 

Bonafide Member- Is the term given to an individual who is a registered member of the fraternity, whom has already survived the final initiation and is enjoying all the benefits of a registered member that the fraternity can offer.

 

Obligation- Are actions which a bonafide member of the fraternity should comply and fulfill.

 

Neophyte-is the term given to an individual who is subject to services and initiation rites for the right to be a bonafide member of the fraternity.

 

 

6 MAJOR RULES FOR D.A.

 

  1. The weight of D.A. a brother should undertake depends on the degree of misconduct that he committed.

 

  1. The chapter President is the one responsible for the disciplinary actions to be carried and he will be assisted by the master initiator, an adviser. Selected senior members shall be present during the day of putting into action the sanction.

 

  1. A brother is given up to two (2) warnings for a misconduct done before giving him the appropriate gravity of disciplinary action

 

  1. The concerned must be informed earlier before the implementation of the disciplinary action.

 

  1. All actions taken during D.A. must be treated with confidentiality and just.

 

  1. Anyone can be a candidate for D.A. The law exempts no one.

 

3 MAJOR OFFENCES and OBLIGATIONS

 

Disrespect

 

All brothers must act accordingly during meetings, and gatherings of the fraternity.

A brother must learn to address senior members and officers of the fraternity in the proper manner.

 

 

Failure of paying Dues and Debts

 

            The fraternity has weekly dues of 25 pesos it is your obligation as a member to pay these dues on time.

 

            A member may be given a grace period of two weeks for paying the complete amount of dues amounted to 50 pesos.

           

A brother may apply for debt from the fraternity’s elected treasurer as long as he has with him a not regarding the payment of the debt it must contain the date of payment and a signature of the debtor.

 

Failure to attend Meetings

 

            Important matters are being discussed during meeting. It is a brother’s obligation to attend all meetings regularly.

 

 

OTHER OFFENCES and OBLIGATIONS

 

 

Having failing grades in academic subjects

 

            It is our responsibility as students to study we must strive and do our best to excel in our chosen field of endeavor.

 

            A brother must have a limit of 3 unit’s failure per quarter before subjection to D.A.

 

Making unnecessary actions leading other members to harm

 

            This includes physical assaults to anyone whom is doing nothing, about any concern of the organization.

 

Revealing any important documents owned by the fraternity

 

            Our organization is different from other clubs and other academic societies, we are a fraternity we must employ confidentiality.

 

 

 

 

Failure of defending the name of the fraternity against unjust critics

 

            We are bringing the name of the Locos Delinquente 187. It is our responsibility to protect the fraternity’s name and honor.

 

 

Making foul actions to applicants

 

            Neophytes are very important on organizations we are belonging; we must treat them like humans.

 

Gambling in Fraternity’s Premises

           

All members are not allowed for gambling of any forms during regular school days. (Ex. Poker, billiards, card games and other forms of gambling)

 

We must use our parent’s money wisely.

 

Immoral actions during initiations rites

 

            Neophytes are soon to be a brother we must treat them accordingly.
