Gitane

In limited showing in the US, Gitane exemplified breed type and  demonstrated why she was one of the top winning females in France for many years.  Even as a veteran, she brought several judges to tears in 2003 as she strutted her stuff at the age of twelve. Under breeder, judge and author Jeff Pepper, Gitane was given a five point major in an entry of sixteen US PBGVs. I elected not to exhibit her in the US much as she was so very happy just enjoying her retirement on my sofa or with her favorite chew as seen in the photo below..She was a most gentle soul, but with a heart of a lion...who won the hearts of any who were blessed to know her. I am forever indebted to Rene Tixier for entrusting her to me. Every day with her was a gift..imprinting on me what a PBGV is supposed to be...Gitane spent part of her retirement with Peggy and George Jensen who loved her just as much as I did...Gitane learned very late in her life some tricks courtesy of George including how to take a cookie off of her nose, high five etc...but I think she taught them even more about her special gifts...
