Be Here Now Discography

The long awaited third album was released on the 21st August 1997. It went platinum in the first day, It's already sold over a million copies and continues to sell more. The album reached the No.1 spot in the UK album chart on release and is Oasis' most succesful in album in America reaching No.2. The album contains new and old songs, the oldest being 'All Around The World' which is three years old. It is also their longest track ever clocking in just under 10mins. This track also features the Gallagher's wives, Patsy and Meg on backing vocals. Be Here Now was partly recorded in the famous Abbey Road studios but recording was stopped half way through because complaints of noise! The recording did continue at a number of other studios, including Ridge Farm, Air Studios, Master Rock, and Orinoco.

The track list to the album is as follows.

Johnny Depp actually played the slide guitar on Fade In-Out because Noel couldn't do it! The album was produced, as usual, by Noel Gallagher and Owen Morris. Noel scrapped plans for the album to be a double album because he feared that the record company would rip the fans off by charging too much for it. The cover for the album was shot in Herts, England, the cover is very puzzling. Some say it's as puzzling as The Beatles 'Abbey Road' album. For more info on the cover itself click here.
