Stand By Me was released on the 22nd September '97.
This was Oasis' second single from the album 'Be Here Now'. Not suprisingly,
this single only reached no. 2, held off the top spot by Elton John's 'Candle In The Wind '97'
The first line of the song, 'made a meal and threw it up on sunday' refers to when Noel
once cooked a meal for himself.
This was not long after he moved to London, his mum kept checking
to see he was eating properly, and when he decided to cook a roast dinner
for himself, he ended up with food poisoning.

The video features two twins having a heated row which the Gallaghers try to split up. The video also includes other imaginary things including 'Radio Supernova'. It was shot in a shopping mall. The video is very clever in it's plot, as a series of bad events, turn out to be good things.
