PAGE 2 OF KNIVES (I LIKE KNIVES!)
This is a copper dagger (left) I made based on a 1200 BC Beaker original found in England.  I used stone age tools to make it.  The scabbard is wood covered with rawhide and then decorated with designs found on a ceramic pot from wence the Beakers folk get their name.
Normally I don't make throwing knives with a cross guard but this fella is from Texas and wanted Bowie style knives for competition and for his already huge collection of Bowies!  These are 15 1/2" long by 2 1/2" wide and 3/16" thick made of HR1095 tool steel with black Micarta scales and steel rivets and guard.
This is a special throwing axe I designed and made specially for stage work.  It has a 1/8" thick spring steel blade and though very light is perfectly balanced for even multiple spin throws.
Here is a custom (above) khukrie and a sword staff that I made  for a customer.  The hilt is small cuz he has small hands.  The scabbard is made of maple and covered with Buffalo hide.  The 2 utility knives I made for free cuz I broke my wrist and he had to wait til I could take the cast off.
Here are some custom throwers I made for a performer back east.  They are 14 1/2" long and weigh a pound each.  I would hate to be this guy's assistant if he misses.
I have started making specially designed throwing spears for target throwing and small game hunting.  This batch is for a Martial Arts Dojo in Austin Texas where the bright colors are eye catching during forms competition. Thsi batch is my 5 1/2 foot style and one custom 7 1/2 foot long take-down model for the Sensei.
Some of the tools I used to make the Museum Replica above.  To make a thing, you must first make the tools to make the tools to make the thing.....
