ITS Festival 2005!!
Recap
Well, what an adventure this year's ITS Festival was! After a 10000 hour bus ride, we arrived in Corpus fresh and ready to get our IEs over with! Within our first day in the beautiful Omni building....complex...whatever you call it, our one and only Rico decided to take that oh-so-special ride on the escalator. No evidence was found that he officially broke it, but because he was the only Mexican surrounding the crime scene, he was apprehended and sentanced to a full day of security duty.

And from then on Troupe 5968 became "the troupe" of the festival. Besides that incident (and Ry almost getting kicked out of the Midland High play) we were all perfect little angels. Our troupe saw many....let's just say "colorful" plays this time. Who can forget those beautiful quotes from these plays that we will carry on forever...

"How does it feel to screw my daughter?!?"-The Speed of Darkness

"Let me stick my pinkie into your forbidden twinkie!"-No Frills Revue

(and my personal favorite)
"You wanna know what the war in Vietnam was like? Pull down your pants and show me your balls! That's what you're asking me to do!"-The Speed of Darkness

Good times in the theatre. Between watching mainstage and marathon plays, we all squeezed in some time for Hip Hop classes, sword fighting, and of course....the beloved Mama Yeye! And of course, the food served to us was most exceptional *cough*sarcasm*cough*

We did, however, suffer the tragic loss of Chelsea when she had to go to the hospital after hurting her foot in a tragic hip-hoping accident. She was sorely missed during the remaing part of the trip (no pun intended).
One the last day we experienced two of the most amazing occurances ever to happen to the Lee High Theatre. Not only was Matt Castleberry officially named to the Texas Thespain State Board, but Eli and Conoley made it to nationals for duet improv!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to them on their amazing achievement and I know we will be cheering them on while they prepare for their trip during the summer....

Overall, this trip was amazing for everyone involved. Whether it was walking to Burger King for a decent dinner, representing our troupe with a Dave Chappel "Yeeeeeeeaaaahh!!", or making fun of Timms and his gay yellow vest....our trip to ITS 2005 will always be remembered forever as the year we broke the escalator.  :)
