Lonesome Road
Copyright 2004: Second Wind

In need of a friend, I feel so alone
Lost myself again on this one way road
Stranded in the darkness trying to find my way home
But home ain't where her heart is so which way do I go?
On this lonesome road, oh, which way do I go?

Locked it all inside for the years of twenty-three
Swallowing my pride and look where it's gotten me
Got no direction and this world ain't turning slow
Can't see my reflection, which way do I go?
Oh, on this lonesome road which way do I go?

'Cause in the blink of an eye life can pass you by
And lord knows I've tried to be a better guy
Through all tears of pain I've cried
And lord only knows that the path I've chose is a lonesome road
With just one pot of gold and to reach it I must go alone
On this lonesome road

One too many lanes on this highway of life
Sick and tired of riding, now it's my turn to drive
Steering my own whell the only way I know how
God put me here for one thing and that's what I'm doing now
Time to go, alone on this lonesome road
