Robert's rant:

Here's the dillio.  I cannot be in a band wherein 50% of the members live 3 hours apart.  It's too much of a strain on me (as the unofficial driver) and, more importantly, the music.  Since January, we have written 2 songs that we really use (Alphabet Soup and Kodak Moments).  This "creative stagnation" has plagued me too long and I can't handle that anymore.  I did want to stay in this band, but the lack of support we've had from a very small fanbase doesn't help any.  I've put over a year of time, creativity, and talent into The Leftovers, but alas, it has gone all to waste.  We are at the same point in our career as we were in December 2003.

So, as of November 1, 2004, I will no longer be a part of The Leftovers.  I leave all the music/lyrics I have written with Michael to them to do what they wish.  It has been great fun fun playing with Mike, Josh, Nick, and Dale over the last 18 months, but now I must move on.

I am reminded of a quote from one of my greatest influences, Aaron Barrett:

"You and I are mortal, but Rock and Roll will never die!"

Keep rockin', guys.
