The power and endurance of the heavy horse is immense, to have seen these horses carrying the Knights suited up in Armour must have been an amazing site as they galloped to battle.
Once in great danger of dying out altogether, they are now well established. Their usefulness in work once again recognized. They attract big crowds these days at shows, weather it be being paraded in hand or pulling a brewers dray.
