The Dueling Monkey
This episode starts out with Yugi and company failing in their search for Mokuba. Jounouchi (e. Joey) finds some of Hiroto's (e. Tristan) cards on the ground and sees Barbarian #1 (e. Swamp Battleguard). Jounouchi pleads with Hiroto to use the card for a while and eventually gets his way.
Meanwhile, Mai is thinking over how she lost to Jounouchi, as the scene flashes back to the Millenium Dragon (e. Thousand Dragon) wiping out her Harpies with its Millenium Nose Breath attack. She runs into Dinosaur Ryuzaki (e. Rex Raptor) and he challenges her to a duel. She declines, but says she will duel him if he can beat Jounouchi.
Ryuzaku challenges Jounouchi and lays a condition on the line. There is to be no help from the audience. Hiroto and Anzu are both against this but Jounouchi wants to prove himself as a duelist and accepts. After being shoved to the ground by Jounouchi, Hiroto goes off to a stream.
The duel starts off, with Jounouchi playing a Baby Dragon in defense. It gets stomped on by Ryuzaki's Two-Headed King Rex. Jounouchi counters, and wins. Ryuzaki, on the other hand, counters back with Sword Arm of Dragon and starts ripping through Jounouchi's forces. Jounouchi finally draws Flame Swordsman, which, to a magical advantage of dinosaurs (anime effect only), starts slicing through Ryuzaki's monsters.
Ryuzaki laughs it off and draws the Serpantnight Dragon. Its Dark Sonic Waves annihilate Flame Swordsman. Jounouchi draws the Barbarian #1 (e. Swamp Battleguard) and plays it. With both Barbarians on the field he wonders what will happen next. Ryuzaki attacks, and the attack is reflected right back at his Evilnight Dragon.
Ryuzaki just grins as the true force of his deck had not yet been revealed...
