Meet The Provider!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and allowing me to introduce myself to you!

My name is Leigh Outlaw. I have been a certified Army Family Child Care (FCC) provider since August 2004. I currently provide care for Active Duty military families stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I have completed training in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid, proper Health and Safety procedures, child guidance, and creating a safe inviting learning environment. I receive on-going training through the Army in the form of classes, self paced home assignments, and annual renewal of CPR/First Aid certification.

I have worked with children in various settings for many years. As a young woman, I baby-sat, worked in our church nursery, and volunteered at several child care center Summer programs. After high school, I attended college courses with a focus on early childhood education. I have started the process to receive my CDA (Child Developmental Associate) credential. I am always interested in learning new ways to reach the young children entrusted to my care, so I continue to further my education through workshops, conferences, and college classes.

I believe that children learn best by doing things for themselves. My program includes many hands on activities such as craft projects, simple science experiments, and cooking activities.

My ultimate goal as a FCC home is to provide a safe and comfortable home-like environment for the children, while providing planned developmental activities geared towards each individual childs needs and abilities. Having been a mother who worked outside the home myself, I strive to provide the same quality care I would expect for my own children.

I invite you to take a look around my website to learn more about me and my family child care program.
