Introduction to Ballet (1.5 hrs) Monday 5:30-7 PM (Begins September 10) Fee:$174 / semester (14 classes) This Class is an introduction into the world of ballet. The students will be introduced to basic ballet vocabulary and will work on their flexibility and knowledge of anatomy. The course emphasizes body awareness, flexibility and posture and is taught in an environment that is fun and encouraging.
Ballet I (1.5 hrs) Wednesday 5-6:30 PM (Begins September 12) Fee: $174 / semester (14 classes) This Class is geared towards students who have taken a ballet class and have acquired a minimal understanding of ballet and it's principles. In this class we explore ballet vocabulary, flexibility and strength work as well as developing muscle. We will continue to develop our technique and learn dances. For those that are ready, there will be the option of an introduction to point work. Point Class (0.5 hrs) Wednesday 6:30-7 PM (Begins October Fee: $60 / semester (10 classes)
Ballet III (1.5 hrs) Thursday 4:45-6:15 PM (Begins September 13) Fee: $174 An advanced class for motivated students who already have an extensive understanding and working knowledge of ballet and it's principles. In this class, students will continue to grow technically, learning more advanced ballet vocabulary/movements, with an emphasis on improving muscular strength to be able to execute more advanced movements such as more complex petit and grand allegro combinations. We will also learn classical variations as well as more advanced point work. Point Class (0.75 hrs) Thursday 6:15-7PM (Begins September 13) Fee: $84 (14 classes)
