Panic Attack City - January 2003 There's a place, a place I know well. My chest tightens, and heart begins to race. Hyperventilation, my body is in disgrace. The war within me, is a new battle taking place. Moisture unleashed from my hands, clammy and damp. My brain a Grand Prix, a motor race! Seratonin, Endorphins, Dopamine, fighting my case. I try to breathe, I can't, you can see the race within my face. Into a paper bag, sealed up with pace. Panic attack city, I disappear without a trace. |
A Bumble Bee - January 2003 Buzzing, flying in your face, It's by the window, on the wall. Sweeping down, onto your plate, In your face, down upon the ground. Never stopping, remaining Motionless, That's the bumble bee That's me! Bouncing around, A passer by says 'What you on?' His friend suggests amphetamines, The bee, which is me Says 'well, err, um it's natural It's called AD/HD' 'Ain't that just for boys?' 'It's a imbalance of chemicals' - well that's the chemistry says the professional Not bee! Stinging irritants which get in my way, or in your face .. 'Shush' says mother 'Buzz off' says me Flying away to distant lands, The land of equality, freedom and peace. Where buzzing Bee's are not condemned, A place I can bee who and what I long to BEE |
