Day 2: Montreux - Lausanne - Geneva - Montreux

The tour began in Montreux, Switzerland with a free breakfast and a nice view of Lac Leman, also Lake Geneva.  Montreux is a nice quiet town about 2 hours away from Geneva in the province of Vaud.  It's French speaking but of course you can get by with just English and making lots of gestures.  They hold a jazz festival every year in August but we didn't have time for that.

Very nice hotel... and no, we didn't stay there (dammit).

We left for the Olympic Museum at Lausanne, a town somewhere between Geneva and Montreux.  I picked up a few postcards from the gift store and barely made it back to the coach in time. (Yes YCS ppl, I never learn.) After lunch we went back to Geneva for a city tour, but the city was totally shut down because of the Geneva Festival, so we walked around for a bit, saw the Jet D'eau (I wasn't too awed) and hopped on the bus to go back to Montreux for a free evening to stroll around.  By the way, the best local wine is not from Montreux nor Lausanne, but from the stretch of hills between the two towns.   I don't drink, of course.

I cheated. This is from Day 3 really, since I didn't take any decent pictures on Day 2 and this isn't far from Montreux, it'll have to do for now.

The real Day 3
