Layering Images

This tutorial shows you how to put two images together to make one. I'll be using the images below of Shakira and a city landscape...

  • First of all, find two images. It doesn't matter what size they are.
  • Decide what image you want for the background, and what image you want for the "forground".
  • Go to the one of the pictures, and press CTRL C.
  • Go to the second image, and press CTRL L.
  • All you will see is the image you copied to the background.
  • You can drag the image to a specific position on the background.
  • Now, on the PSP menu up top, go to Layers>>Properties>>
  • Set the opacity to whatever you want. The lower the opacity is, the more of the background will show. (60 is recommended)
  • There you go! Now just go to Layers>>Merge>>Merge All (Flatten).
  • Ta-da! You're done! Ain't it beautiful? Here is what it should look like:
