Brandy is truly something special she has been threw many ups and downs but always come out shining brighter then before.  I think Brandy don't get the credit she deserves in the black community but she keeps going strong with multi-selling albums.  From her self-title debut to Never Say Never to Full Moon Brandy proves she is an true artist.  Now with her new love, an loving and spliting image daughter, and a new album BRANDY IS FINALLY BACK!  Here is an album review that was found on Launch:

ALBUM REVIEW - Afrodisiac
07/02/2004

By Dan Leroy

On the album released just weeks before her death, Aaliyah put herself in the hands of superproducer Timbaland and emerged with a mature, occasionally striking collection of R&B that, if not a classic, was certainly the most accomplished work of her short life. Now another ex-teen dream with a history of so-so releases has turned to Tim for a similar makeover, and once again, he manages it, albeit not without some missteps. Brandys tough talk about her ex and her blossoming sexuality is supposed to signify that shes a big girl now, yet most of it sounds like the same set of revelations every female artist these days is required to divulge after finishing puberty. What gives Afrodisiac its allure are the confident club jams that mask B-Rockas vocal limitations without overpowering her. The heavy-breathing droner Come As You Are and the jaunty title track, driven by an ingratiating little flute loop, make just enough room for Brandys layered harmonies and come-ons, and Should I Go, which samples Coldplay, is cleverer still, a confessional that gets extra melodrama from its alt-rock backing. Of course, the confession itself that Brandy considered quitting the biz sounds like another line borrowed from some other artist, especially since Afrodisiac proves shes ready for the long haul.
