Avalokiteshvara (Tibetan: Chenrezi)

Four Armed Avalokiteshvara

This is the main form of Avalokiteshvara, the helper of all sentient beings. His two primary hands are together holding a wish-granting gem and his other hands hold the crystal rosary and a lotus. He is shown here in the midst of his snow mountain paradise called "Potala" after which the Dalai Lama's palace in Lhasa is named.
