| Zopa Rinpoche was born in the Mt. Everest region of Nepal. Recognized at an early age as a very special spiritual practitioner, he became a student of Lama Yeshe in 1960. Together they began the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition, a worldwide network of buddhist centers, monasteries and affiliated activities, which Lama Zopa now leads as a Spiritual Director. |  |
