Hope for Tibetan Children

Dho Thomg is a small village located in eastern Tibet (near �shi ning�), surrounded by four smaller villages situated near its borders. Due to the influence by developed societies and the need for trading beyond their small communities, these indigenous people have been forced into poverty.

Dho Thomg and surrounding villages lack basic education and essentials of everyday living. Without basic education, the villagers are unable to communicate with other societies to build an economic foundation. If future generations residing in and around Dho Thomg villages do not receive the essentials needed, they may never have a chance to rise above poverty.

Our goal is to establish a program to help change their futures. In order to achieve this goal, we will need to begin educating the young generation in Dho Thomg and surrounding villages with elementary schooling.

This project includes three phases for children in elementary education from 1st through 6th grades. Our plan is as follows:

Phase 1

� Build a school facility

� Provide classrooms, textbooks and school supplies

� Provide daily lunch for students.

� Pursue teachers for teaching

Phase 2�
� Build rooms for boarding students living outside of Dho Thomg village.
� Provide boarding room essentials such as bedding and linens.

Phase 3�
� Basic medicines for the children.
