PAST

The Lena Church of God was established as a joint effort between the Sharp, Boyce and Lena churches. Property purchased and the current faciity built.
A gym and parsonage was added in the 70's, the fellowship hall was added in the 90's. The fellowship hall was actually a private home owned by Silas and Emma Beebe, who were instrumental in founding the church. After their passing, their children paid to have the old home place moved onto the property and renovated to serve as the hall we currently use.

PRESENT

As with all congregations, the Lena church has experienced ups and downs over the years. Even with pastoral changes and the usual leadership changes the church has remained faithful. The current facility is being updated and maintained to be more accomodating. We have added and remodeled restroom facilities, renovated the nursery/toddler area, and converted an unused classroom into a fellowship room in our educational building where coffee and snacks are available before and after Sunday School. Plans are in the works to add a storage building and renovate and update the gym facility.

FUTURE

Only God knows what the future holds for us, but if the church continues to see salvations, re-dedications and baptisms we know that only good things are in store for us in God's great scheme of things. We anxiously await what He holds for us here at Lena First Church of God.
