Celestial Body Silhouette

by: Jason Mauricio

(June 17 - 18, 2018)

A shrouded planet of encompassed rings

Mysterious fog and a stirring wind that sings

To the silhouette sphere like a symphony of haze

Gazing with allure into a world without a face...

What's beyond the surface...

What's beyond its universe...

What's beyond its curtain...

What's immersed...?

Electromagnetic glimmering static

Embodied by gasses that overcast like magic

An enamouring orb of oblivion - pixelated vapor surrounds it

A celestial apparition that's monochromatic

An elusive place exposed amidst the vast expansion

Unfalteringly composed in the vacuum of extraction

Another reality, another dimension

Transfixed by a world only left to imagine...

Onward Through Astro Terrain

by: Jason Mauricio

(June 13, 2018)

Desolation, the endless spacious highway

A trajectory through an enigmatic world view

Mountain clefts reflect the solar radiation

Hollow caves, indentations, orthopyroxene plantations

Glittering condensation

Seas of mutated Cetaceans

Underwater plumes, sulfur clouds

Winds disperse Dioxide frost amidst this imagination

Like a fountain of elation...

Internal mirror

Emotions are dilated

No such time, no such curfew

Limitless, everything is new

To your eyes, to your mind

Constitution

Neuroplasticity pathways bind

Mesmerized...

By the cascade of stars that constellates the black skies

Crystalized, like ice

A spiral of dust emitting from a satellite

The Long Stretch Desolate Road

by: Jason Mauricio

(June 10, 2018)

Towards another world unknown

Riding along without a care in the world

Cloud streaks across the skylit bloom

Mountains and hills in the horizon looms

I could ride my bike for days and days

Like a hovering spirit onward with gaze

Shrubs and cacti along the land

Standing trees, blowing particles of sand

Abandoned gas stations, diners and motels

Bones, debris and a turtle's shell

The serene tone of a gentle breeze

A shrouded world where time will freeze

Spirals of tumbleweed

Heatwaves, a centipede

The pavement, a sprouting seed

A travel towards mystery

What lies beyond the end of this road?

As far as observing eyes can go

With every advancing moment of breath

The space afar appears to grow

Glancing behind for one last sight

Orange rays of sunlight gloom

The final verse, the end of a page

The sound of wind ringing through my rib cage

Onward I move towards the space

Where the Sun will rise and all things awake

Along this long stretch desolate road

I suddenly cross paths with an old wise toad...

Advised by he, the story goes

Life has ups and has its throes

Balance is the secret key

A mind that sees with clarity

Orbit phases, shedding skin

Life goes on like a wheel that spins

With each passing turn of page, it all begins

Advised by he, the old wise toad

And the tale of the long stretch desolate road

Was the greatest story ever told

The Deeper Within - The Further Throughout

by: Jason Mauricio

(June 20, 2018)

Is it the season where the Grim Reaper comes out to play?

Because everyone around seems to be dying these days...

Life's ambivalent matrix of uncertainty and bliss

Only time shall reveal who's next on Death's list...

Death is no laughing matter though

Unless you suddenly died from a paroxysm of laughter,

then maybe it's not so bad to know...

But really - one day you're alive, joyous and whole

The next day you're gone - decayed - to a remaining fossil

It's absolutely quite the stark antithetical strike to imagine

Even to one million hearts a single death can profoundly sadden

Life is fragile, uncertain, but worthwhile

Make time for what matters, let go of what's vile

Simple words to live by, no need to rush

Take your time...

Life's too short for BS and negativity

To be emotionally consumed by self destructive proclivities

Beyond your control, self diversionary distractions

Stimuli, noise, superficial interactions

Politics, social media, pop culture, fake news

Social engineering and dopamine driven feedback loops

This chaotic blur of systematic distraction

Is designed like a vacuum to elicit your reaction

To peruse, to consume, now you're trapped inside a ruse

That extracts your consciousness away from your inner truth

Much like a vapor suctioned through a pressure tube

Abstract imagination brain putrefaction

Forever chasing a mirage leading to dissatisfaction

How To Go Back In Time

by: Jason Mauricio

(June 2018)

How do we get back to that... Well...

First, you would have to take a trip out to a meadow.

Make sure to bring a tape recorder with you.

Once you've reached a meadow, have a seat on the grass.

Now pull out your tape recorder and press and hold the "rewind" button for 12.3 seconds.....

- Then press "stop"

- Then look up

- Then look slightly forward

- Then look back...

Now stand up and make your way back towards the city.

As you get closer to the city things like cars and buildings and mailboxes will appear as though it has originated from 30 years earlier.

Early models of technology and gadgets are suddenly ubiquitous... Even restrospective fashion trends are suddenly the norm.

You are currently the future stepping back in time to reshape the future's trajectory.

Congratulations! You made it back! :D
