Elvis Williams of St. Kitts and Lindenwood University, established a new NATIONAL and OECS Record in the Hammer Throw, with a throw of 48.81m (157' 2") at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Midwest Championships. The meet was held last weekend at Graceland University, Iowa on 7 & 8th May 2004. The previous National and OECS record was also held by Elvis Williams with a distance of 44.94m, set in Columbus, Missouri on 3rd April 2004.
