Type 95 Light Tank

This widely used Japanese light tank was totally outclassed by all allied tanks in the Pacific. The Japanese used their armor as infantry support weapons and did not use tanks in a 'Blitzkrieg' role as the Germans were doing. This thinking probably stemmed from the type of terrain that the Japanese knew would be used for battlefields, dense jungle islands didn't lend themselves to mobile armored maneuvers. The Type 95 did perform adequately in China however, mainly because the Chinese didn't have any armor to speak of.
