NEEDS DEFINED
Need for self-fulfillment By providing learning opportunities for the Lions to become wiser, more skillful and knowledgeable: by creating a sense of adventure and excitement in the workshop so that Lions develop new interests and new ways of doing things.
Need for esteem By communicating to the Lions that their participation is valuable: by pro- viding other recognition such as at- attendance certificates. a "Pat on the back."
Need for love, affection. By providing opportunities for warm belongingness fellowship and for Lions to share their thoughts and feelings; by providing opportunities for Lions to do things that make them liked by other Lions.
Need for security, safety By intervening whenever a Lion’s self- respect or self-image is threatened: by letting Lions know that you are not their "judge": by letting Lions know where they are at each stage in the project (so no one ever feels ‘lost" or disoriented).
Physiological or By providing appropriate comfort.
survival needs rest, ventilation, lighting. refreshments, etc.
