Waves |
Thy eyes see the waves rise up on high The rocks they crash but do not die The waves come near, to thee they come I shall go home when I am done The sun goes down behind the mountain I know the waters r my only friend So to thou my eyes will slowly tend I dream of waves washing me away One day the waters will want me to stay The next day come I cannot wait I said I shall come in very late I go by the waves to think things through How part of this lovely scene I would like to be too But I know this is impossible, its only a dream I feel at one with the waking sea I sit by the rocks as the waves crash down As they do it makes a beautiful sound The time I am here, I am alone The water is alive, yet none is shown The calming breeze thou sends to me I feel as a bird, as free as can be The clouds come flying in Thou makes me go home to be alone again I get up to go as slow as I can I see a shell and pick it up from the sand I put it to my ear, to hear the ocean I take it away and home I shall ascend Like thou says, all good things come to an end Lissa (c) 1997 |
