I. Purpose
(a)The purpose of the Aeraklion Accord is to ensure the security and prosperity of the citizens of the Kingdom of Caphtoria and the Varangian Constellation through mutual cooperation and confidence building measures.

II. Scope of Cooperation
(a). The Kingdom of Caphtoria (KOC) and the Varangian Constellation (VAR) shall work together to ensure peace and stability between their nations. The parties shall explore various means of working more cooperatively in the areas of military and economic policy.

III. Trade and Commerce
(a). The parties shall seek ways of increasing trade through the mitigation and elimination of trade barriers. Appointed representatives from both nations shall conduct regular reviews of economic and trade policies with the purpose of ascertaining trade barriers and instituting ways to overcome them.
(b). The parties, by way of this agreement, confer upon eachother the status of 'most favored nations', with all priveleges and rights therein. The parties also agree to encourage trade and the movement and availability of labor by ascertaining and mitigating physical and diplomatic barriers which may exist between the states.
(c). By means of this agreement, the parties agree to waive visa requirements for entry into either nation.

IV. Strategic Cooperation, Territorial Integrity, Rights to Exist
(a). The parties agree to undertake confidence building measures to ensure transparceny and trust between the nations. This may include sharing of military intelligence as necessary and officer exchange programs.
(b). The parties agree to the right of the other to exist and each party therefore pledges to never engange in acts of aggression against the other.
(c). The parties agree that the other party has the right of self-governance without the interference of outside forces and therefore, each party agrees that it will not interfere in political machinations of the other.
(d). In acknowledging the right of either country to exist, the Accord also affords the right of each nation to establish embassies and consulates in the other and to afford their staff full diplomatic privellages.

V. Cultural Understanding
(a). The parties agree to implement programs which shall allow for cultural exchanges in academia, the arts, and industry, in which mutual research and development, artistic performances, and production shall be undertaken.

VI. Ratification
This agreement is agreed to on this, the eleventh day of the fifth month of the two thousand and fifth year of our Lord, by the representatives of the Kingdom of Caphtoria and the Varangian Constellation, here in Aeraklion, the capital of Caphtoria.
