TelstraClear Black Caps opening batsman Nathan Astle has returned
to Christchurch today with patella tendinosis in his left knee.
It is the same injury he suffered during last year's tour to Pakistan.
TelstraClear Black Caps manager Jeff Crowe said Nathan would be having
ultrasound late this afternoon to determine the extent of the injury.
"Nathan is flying back to Christchurch where he will be meeting with
New Zealand Cricket's doctor, Rob Campbell, for consultation," Crowe
said.
Lou Vincent will replace Astle in the 12-man team for the sixth National
Bank One-Day International.
