Rodington Canal Bridge

This is the canal that Robert Madeley and his siblings walked by on their way to school each day. The bridge led to the Old Clay Pit. Clay was used to seal the canal and the Aqueduct from leaking.

Turning right after the bridge led to the Wharf, and walking straight on led to the village centre and school.

Sadly, the bridge has been neglected and left for nature to take its course.

People still use it as the trail across the field shows, but no one person looks after the bridge.

The Canal Bridge does not have listed protection.

In the distance stands the Wrekin.
