Rodington
Hall burnt down well before Robert Madeley was born.
All that is left is a bit of a chimney
and an old barn building which are both shown in the picture.
Both the chimney and the barn have Grade II listed
protection since 1983. Maybe Robert Madeley climbed the chimney stack 100 years earlier.
I know I would have.
The land surrounding them seem to be
growing wild and back to nature. |

On
the left of the chimney stack in the distance is Rodington Parish Church.
On the right the Old Windmill is just out
of sight.
Between these three sites flows the River Roden.
Across the road from these brickwork
treasures from the past is a dense coppice around the site of the Rodington Aqueduct. |
