Fans of "The Man of 1,000 Holds" Dean Malenko may be wondering where the brilliant veteran has disappeared to. Contrary to rumors, he has not departed the World Wrestling Federation. He remains very much a part of the sports-entertainment landscape, and although his role may no longer make him as visible as before, it is just as important, if not more so.

Malenko has retired from competition to because a Federation road agent. After 22 years in the ring, the self-proclaimed "Ladies' Man" now helps coordinate activities behind the scenes and advises the current Superstars on how they can improve. It is a crucial role, and places Malenko among the likes of Tony Garea, Jack Lanza and Arn Anderson.

The second-generation grappler is eager to invest his wealth of wrestling knowledge into his new position. His mastery of ring technique has already gained him the respect of everyone in the locker room, something that is key for any successful road agent.

Despite his retired status, Malenko has made it clear that this is by no means a definitive and complete end to his wrestling career. He prefers to keep his options open, and has hinted that an occasional match here and there wouldn't be out of the question.
