Why can't you see the 'me' inside
beyond the veils of tears I cried
mascara running stains my dress
cameras click for the morning press
You had to go and let them know
yell out loudly and make a show
draw attention to natures freak
mumbled �scuse me�s� are all I speak
I run and hide all in plain sight
while the world laughs at my plight
a broken heel creating a limp
mocking crowd calls out �what a wimp�
I ask why did I have to be born
my sense of being so ripped and torn
trying to live the best I can
woman trapped inside a man.
