Effects
Menu
There
are 2 ways you can use the Effects
Menu. You can either use the
"Effect Browser" which shows you
a preview of what all the effects do, or
you can choose the effect you want from
the list in the menu.
If
there is a specific effect that a tutorial
needs, it will tell you how to get to it
on the list but we are just going to be
playing around a bit today, so we are
going to use the "Effect
Browser".
Click
on the Effects Menu and choose the
"Effect Browser" option

You'll
get a dialogue box come up with a preview
screen on the right hand side. This
shows roughly what your image would look
like at the default settings for that
effect.

Have
a play around with the various effects at
different settings to see what you can
come up with (click the "OK"
button to choose an effect, play around
with the various settings and then click
"OK" again to see what your
image looks like. To get the Jesters
hat back to how it was, go to "edit,
undo"). Remember to write down
your settings if you use an effect and you
like the result that you get from it -
someone else might ask you which settings
you used for it! :o)
Scroll
down in the "Effect Name" box to
where it says "Chrome" and click
on "OK"

Have
a play around with the settings and see
what you can come up with
Scroll
a bit further down to the effect called
"Wave" and click on OK

Play
around with the settings and see how
different from a jesters hat you can make
your image look!
Scroll
a bit further down to the
"Kaleidoscope" effect and click
on OK

Have
a play around with the settings and see if
you can make a background tile that you
like
Scroll
to the "Sculpture" effect.
This is definitely my favourite effect!

Have
a play around with the settings in here
and you can come up with all kinds of
wonderful effects! See what you can
come up with and remember to keep a note
of any favourite settings - you can even
save them in here if you find one you want
to keep for later to use over and over
again!
Thank
you so much for testing this tut out for
me Bejon! It means a lot!
Thank you!
