Kmart is a fan of manga, anime and Japanese dramas. The first manga that she read is Nana, a manga about the lives of two women named Nana--the series revolves around the lives of the characters, with the background of the music industry. Nana is an ongoing series that started in 2004 and is being released monthly in Cookie magazine (Japan). At present, she has read a lot of mangas, including oneshots (one to five chapter mangas), usually of the following genres:

  • Shoujo (A work intended and primarily written for females. Usually involves a lot of romance and strong character development)
  • Josei (Literally "Woman". Targets women 18-30. Female equivalent to seinen. Unlike shoujo the romance is more realistic and less idealized. The storytelling is more explicit and mature.)
  • Comedy (A dramatic work that is light and often humorous or satirical in tone and that usually contains a happy resolution of the thematic conflict.)
  • School Life (Having a major setting of the story deal with some type of school.)
She dislikes the genres Yaoi (This work usually involves intimate relationships between men) and Yuri (This work usually involves intimate relationships between women).
