This
is the "Sire", Sparky! He's 3 years old. A smooth-haired
dachshund with black and tan markings just like Maochai.
He lives and owned by our next door neighbor; Jelly Cia.
They
liked Maochai for her long ears... We liked Sparky for his
big built! Since then, we started matching him with our
dam.
The
first time Maochai was in heat, they mated but our dam did
not get pregnant. It was also Sparky's first time. The second
time Maochai was in heat, they mated again... but failed
once more.
The
third time Maochai was in heat... They were set-up in a
room just for them... All day, all night, just the two of
them. Maochai got pregnant!
It's
like a marriage for them because they are the ones being
paired ever since. We wanted them to produce good pups and
they produced even better ones than we expected.
We
continue to introduce them together every once-in-a-while,
so they will be able to see each other and get to know each
other better. I know that Maochai and Sparky loves each
other, besides if they don't... they would have not produced
such great pups!
