Tamriko Siprashvili is from the former Soviet Republic of Georgia, now simply known as Georgia. Tamriko was born and raised in Tbilisi, the capitol of Georgia, and at 17 years of age, travelled to Moscow to study at the Moscow Conservatory of Music. She graduated from there in 1989 with the equivalent of a D.M. (Doctor of Music) degree. In 1985, Ms. Siprashvili was awarded the Gold Medal at the Schumann International Piano Competition which provided her with performance opportunities throughout Italy, Germany and many eastern european countries. She has won other awards in such competitions as Leeds (UK) and Casadesus (US) competitions. She has performed in the United States, Canada, the UK, Italy, Germany, France, Hungary, Ukraine, Russia and her native Georgia. Tamriko now lives with her husband, pianist Mark Anderson, in the San Francisco east bay city of Pleasanton where they teach privately while pursing a variety of interests.

Her recording on XCP Records of Rachmaninoff has been highly acclaimed. This site is devoted to that recording and will feature excerpts from it in the near future.
