This is a report of a 6000 points a side game, with Eldar making a dawn assault against a position defended by Orks and Chaos. Standard Epic40k rules with FP 1 amendments, and a few houserules were used. The Eldar were commanded by Tim and 'Tonto' (aka Dave), while the Chaos and Orks were commanded by Rawhiri and Mike respectively. Figures were mine (Orks and Eldar), Tim's (Eldar), and Rawhiri's (Chaos). I umpired a little bit and took photos...

TURN 1
The Eldar press forward across a wide front, led by their titans on the left flank and centre. The Eldar take and hold objectives are clustered in two main groups, one on the right flank and one on the left. The only enemy visible to the Eldar this turn are a Great Gargant and five Battlefortresses guarding the Eldar right flank objective cluster.
TURN 2
Hidden in the ruins in the centre of the battlefield are the two Ork big gunz detachments, and three Chaos artillery detachments. Those in range bombard the leading Eldar units, but apart from some unfortunate jetbikes on the Eldar right, the effects are mostly shrugged off by Eldar holofields.
Mike makes a ground attack with a flight of ork aircraft, against the eldar right wing.... he destroys two scorpion super heavy tanks, a wave serpent, and a falcon. The most successful ork ground attack I have ever seen...
The main Eldar attack is happening on their left though. They advance towards the central ruins in which the the Ork and Chaos artillery is hiding. Only a hill defended by a single detachment of fleshounds stands in their way.
At the end of the turn, Eldar Morale is at 91, while the Chaos and Orks have increased theirs to 129.
TURN 3
As the Eldar continue their left flank attack, Mike moves an ork big gunz detachment, and Rawhiri some daemon detachments, to mount a defence. Behind the Eldar lines, Rahwhiri summons two detachments of Bloodletters and one of Plaguebearers, but they are held off by the infantry accompanying the Eldar NightSpinners. Pulsar fire from six Scorpion Super Heavy Tanks causes carnage amongst the summoned daemons.
Ok, just to interrupt the action here are the players themselves, left to right, the Eldar good guys Tim and Tonto in white shirts, Ork and Chaos bad guys Mike and Rawhiri in black shirts (no the shirt thing wasn't planned...) Nice geeky posing guys ;) If only I could focus the camera on 6 foot people as well as 6mm figures...
As the last of his reinforcements arrive, Mikes Ork forces push forward against the weakened Eldar right. Some of Rawhiri's Daemons lead the way. Daemons and Orks also push forward in the centre, losing many of their number but destroying the Eldar Revenant titan.
At the end of turn 3, Eldar morale is on 73, while the Chaos and Ork morale is at 111.
TURN 4
One of the Phantoms charges right into the central ruins to attack the Chaos artillery, but is destroyed before it can do any damage. The Orks and Chaos counterattack everywhere this turn, the Ork big gunz are particularly deadly as they defend their positions.

Daemons close assault Eldar left flank units. The Phantom titan has already been damaged by shooting but beats off the attack.
Morale at the end of this turn is 57 for the Eldar and 96 for the Orks and Chaos.
TURN 5
Closely followed by Ork Warbikes, Rawhiris Daemons close assault and overwhelm the Eldar right. Things degenerate into a bloody stalemate on the Eldar left.
In the centre the Eldar make a last ditch effort to turn the tide. The Howling Banshees detachment and the Eldar Command detachment attack the enemy centre. However the Great Gargant manages to resist and the Eldar are thrown back...
At the end of this turn the Eldar morale has fallen to 2, while Ork and Chaos morale is on 73. Not feeling they can survive another turn the Eldar concede. Mike and Rawhiri bask in the glory...
