Quail and Doves
The smallest birds we keep on the farm are quail and dove. The birds in the upper left and lower right pictures are "Button Quail" and are around 4-5" long only. We also have traditional "Cotournix Quail" which are the kind that most people associate with menus. However, we haven't eaten any of ours yet and find them to be gentle, fun friends to have around.

The Dove in the upper right is a "Diamond Dove" who is one of 7 we have. These pretty little birds are miniature doves and are about the size of a large canary. We also have white and ringneck doves like the one pictured on the lower left. These bigger doves are at flight in our larger aviaries and provide a great balance to our ground dwelling birds.
