All about Royalty - Belgium - The engagement of Laurent and Claire
At 19 december 2002, the engagement of Prince Laurent of Belgium with Claire Coombs is announced.
The wedding will take place on saturday 12 april 2003 in Brussels.
The governement of Belgium had a special meeting that day, to give official permission for the marriage.
Therefor prince Laurent will not loose his rights to the trone,
however he is nr 8 in line, and when the baby of princess Astrid is born in may, he will step back further.
Claire Coombs is born 18 januari 1974 in Bath (UK).
