Marine tanks at Tutuila, American Somoa

USMC photo - scan courtesy of Kenneth W. Estes
Most of the Marmon-Herringtons would end up in Samoa for thankfully peaceful duty with the defense forces there. This exceptional photo shows the tank park of the 1st Separate Tank Company at Tutuila: the rare turreted Marmon-Herrington CTM-3TBD tanks (5 made) can be seen, behind the CTL-6 in the foreground. The tank to the left is an M3 Army-type light tank.
