Materials:
- 1 board, 6'x2"x4"
- 1 electric guitar pickup, with cable & jack
- 1 rectangular piece of foam rubber, 1/8"x2"x4"
- 2 steel rods, 3-1/2" long, 1/8" to 1/4" in diameter
(for end bridges)
- 1 steel rod (or tubing), 3-1/2" long,, 3/8" to 1/2"
outside diameter (for center bridge)
- 6 tuning pins (zither pins, or other tuning mechanism)
- 6 anchor pins (#8 wood screws, or other anchoring device)
- music wire--enough for 6 strings, each 7' long, several gauges ranging
from about .010 (#1) to .031 (#13)
- 1 slide
Tune the strings however you like. Pick the strings in the indicated
area. Fret with a slide, moving the steel along the strings to listen for
the harmonics that will excite the strings on the sympathetic side. Mark
the harmonic points if desired.
