Jacques Rougeau Sr.
Born: May 27th, 1930,  Montral, Qc.
Father of Raymond, Jacques Jr and Armand
At the beginning, Jacques Rougeau Sr. was never meant to be a wrestler. As his father, he started his career as a pro boxer. For five years, he was 35-1 in cumulative matches. However, in the insistance of his uncle Eddie Auger and his late brother Johnny, he started pro wrestling in 1955.
As a tag team, the Rougeaus were incredible. Jacques's fiery temperament and Johnny's spectacular moves helped to win several championships around the world (mostly in Canada, United States and Asia). Between 1960 and 1965,  he stopped wrestling for a while to join Johnny in his Mocambo night club venture in  Montral (he was doorman, manager and head of security).
In 1965, wrestling took over and he returned to the ring. However, his children followed him and became interested in following their father's footsteps. Jacques began to train them and in 1969, Raymond started to wrestle, followed by Armand and then Jacques Jr.
Afterwards, in 1977, Jacques retires from the ring. But he stood aside his boys whenever trouble came. In the INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING promotion, he acted as manager to several matches, watching the moves of one Eddy Creatchman, Pat Patterson, or even the Garvin Brothers who gave him a hard time in 1985.
Besides from wrestling, Jacques Rougeau Sr had several businesses (in the 1950, he was owner of a TEXACO garage in the Villeray neighborhood of Montral). Then he moved to suburban St-Sulpice, in the northern North Shore of Montral (not too far from Joliette's NCW). Besides from his sons, Rougeau trained a couple of hopefuls, among them the late Pierre "Mad Dog" Lebfvre. In these days, he passes his summers in Qubec and winters in Florida. But at 69, he's still in top shape, training regularly, enough to do a last comeback in the ring in August 1999 for his son Jacques' INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING 2000 with the latter and Raymond against former foes Michel Dubois and the Garvin Brothers.
