Steve, a Colorado native and a Mitchell Grad,
became the Mitchell Auditorium Manager in the Fall
of 1995. He has since received his Associates of
Applied Sciences in Theatre Technology from Pikes
Peak Community College
under the close watch of
Michael Stansbery and Nancy Hankin. Steve also
became the Wasson and Palmer auditorium manager
in the fall of 1998 and the fall of 2000, respectively.
Steve can also be found working for many professional
theatre companies such as UCCS Theatreworks, The Fine Arts Center,
and Colorado Opera Theatre of the Rockies to name a few,
filling roles such as master electrician, lighting
designer, rigger, and sound designer.
In addition to this Steve owns and operates his own
sound and lighting rental company, for which he has
provided sound for Peter Yarrow (Peter, Paul, and Mary).
Steve has also provided sound for now defunct Bands
such as Big Back Yard and Dr. No. Recently Steve became
the Production Manager for UCCS Theatreworks, and has accepted
responsibilities on a somewhat regular basis at the Colorado
Springs Fine Arts Center for lighting and rigging retro fit and
remodel projects. This is all done around the very busy
Mitchell Auditorium where he can be found working on designs
for the Mitchell Drama/Theatre and Music Departments.
