Goa is totally different from the rest of India. This is a small region quite easily explored, both in terms of landscape - rich in jungle-covered hills, and in terms of cultural influences which prevailed today over 400 years of Portuguese domination. And in terms of religion, although hidusii occupy two thirds of the population, the people of Goa are more liberal than any other part of India.

Cultural mix is evident through the various festivals that take place here - Carnival, Christmas, Diwali and Durga Puja, all celebrated in traditional style chase.
