Who is the greatest basketball player ever? This question is always up for debate among basketball fans. In my mind, in order to make a judgment like this, you need a standard! Personally, even though he is not my favorite player, I think Oscar Roberston was the greatest ever. You don't have to agree with my choice. If you think Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, etc...was the greatest, I am not going to argue. There are many fine arguments to back their claim.

This website site was created for only one reason -- to prove that simply Michael Jordan's is NOT at the greatest basketball player ever. I don't care if you think Michael Jordan is the 2nd greatest player of all-time. I don't care if you think that Oscar Robertson is not the greatest player ever. I don't care if you think Chamberlain or Russell or Abdul-Jabbar are better than both of them. This site has only one purpose: to show that no matter what criteria is used, Michael Jordan is not the greatest player ever. He maybe #2, #30, or #5000, but he is not #1.

If you happen to disagree with the material on this page, fine, but have well-defined reasons (define your criteria/standard for judging players) as to why you believe Michael Jordan was the greatest. As you will read, there is no standard for Jordan. His claim to the best ever is based on popularity, media-hype, endorsements, and a few extremely weak arguments. I will not only show that your own criteria doesn't support the conclusion that Jordan was the greatest, I will systematically destroy any weak arguments given to support Jordan's "supposed" dominance, and expose the myths created by the media, especially ESPN.

When you call him the best ever, it becomes obvious that you don't understand ever, because you lack knowledge of basketball history.
