HISTORY OF MOTO-SKI SNOWMOBILES
(1963-1973)

Created 2/25/03
UPDATED 3/28/08

I do not claim for any of this information to be absolute fact, only what I and others have observed.
Any help on making it more accurrate would be appreciated.
I would also like to add that many of the traits listed for a certain year are not always limited to that year in particular.  The more you see of Moto-Skis the more you will be amazed by how much the company used up any leftover pieces from the year before, from small details like bumpers to entire bodies reworked to become a part of the next model year.  It goes without saying that this can create lots of head scratching and confusion but at the same time makes every machine, no matter how common the body/engine combo, different and exciting.

I would like to thank George Dufrane Jr. for sending me an amazing amount of information to help
create an accurrate history.  Thanks also to George Dufrane Sr. and all of those who contributed
valuable information especialy on the elusive early years and available engines by year.
  One must also not forget
Charles Grimshaw and Edward Marlowe for their contribution to Moto-Ski in the early years as
Dufrane Motor Distributors employees.

Listed by year.  Click on the year you wish to research.
